Woodland 2015 Holiday Bonbon Collection
For our Holiday collection this year I really wanted to incorporate a fifties vintage nostalgia feeling. I started with my favorite singer- Dean Martin; my favorite Dean Martin album- A Winter Romance. This cover has a bright freshness with the warmth of the holidays. A warm cozy fire, snowy mountain sides and a little romance in the air.
I started searching for a print with this same nostalgic feeling. I love the sky blue, the snowy scene and the red cardinals all tied together with a beautiful red ribbon.
I found these images captured the feel that I really wanted and used them as the inspiration for color and decor for our Woodland Holiday Bonbon Collection.
The flavors of the holidays are some of my favorites. We incorporated our slant on traditional flavors like eggnog with aged Puerto Rican rum and gingerbread spiced dark chocolate ganache with minced candied ginger.
There are also some of my favorite original combinations like “Sweet Beet”. December is national root vegetable month and I like to celebrate that was some kind of homage. This year’s bonbon is made with beet puree and Grand Marnier and infused with orange peel. It is as delicious as it is beautiful! It is a gorgeous hot pink color that is naturally derived from the beet puree. I wish we could show it from the inside out!
Also, one of my favorites, Pear Williams brandy caramel. Something about this just screams hot toddy next to the fire.
I’m proud of this collection and of the inspiration that has brought it to life.
Happy Holidays! Enjoy!
